Sono passati 2 giorni ma sembrano 2 settimane.
La Giornata Nazionale dei Camerieri, o forse sarebbe meglio ridefinirlo da subito OCCCADAY, è stato un successo!
Vogliamo essere onesti, se guardiamo i numeri potremmo svegliarci da un sogno con qualche dubbio.
Su facebook qualche migliaio di aderenti all’iniziativa (tra interessati e partecipanti), mentre nella vita reale circa un centinaio di persone si sono fisicamente incontrate per festeggiare questo nostro momento.
Ma se nella ristorazione siamo soliti dare un valore qualitativo al tempo e alla quantità, noi di OCCCA non ci possiamo esimere dal fare lo stesso per valutare la giornata del 2 Maggio e vorremmo farlo raccontando due dei meeting più riusciti, ovvero quello in Piemonte e in Toscana.
OCCCADAY Piemonte - OCCCA.itIn Piemonte Alfonso di Iasi, organizzatore del meeting, è riuscito a riunire 17 “OCCCA” della sua regione. Operatori del settore ristorativo di 4 diverse città tutte riunite presso l’Azienda Agricola Teo Costa, che ha servito i suoi vini (Nebbiolo, Barbaresco e Arneis), accompagnati da una selezione di prosciutti e formaggi locali. Una degustazione offerta da un’azienda che ha creduto fin dall’inizio in questo evento, di cui forse c’è più necessità di quanto sembri.
A seguire, presso la gastronomia da Ugo, il nostro gruppo ha dato il meglio di se, continuando a festeggiare (la chiamata di Alfonso verso le 17 denotava un certo grado di allegria, indice di un’ottima selezione di vini), per poi tornare ognuno a casa con il ricordo di un momento nuovo, da ripetere il prima possibile.




OCCCADAY Toscana - OCCCA.itIn Toscana, precisamente a Firenze invece, il nostro Emanuele Giorgi, già menestrello e autore dell’inno “SONO CAMERIERE”, ha organizzato un meeting presso il The Fiddler’s Elbow, pub a Santa Maria Novella. Chiunque fosse stato munito del bollino di OCCCA avrebbe ricevuto un 1 euro di sconto su una birra media.
Anche qui la volontà da parte di un ristoratore di promuovere l’evento, non è cosa scontata, e l’aver a fine giornata ribadito di aver avuto il piacere di ospitare “tante persone con in comune una professionalità ammirevole, un sorriso meraviglioso e una discreta sete” denota come al di la dei numeri, qualcosa il 2 maggio è successo.

“Quello che conta è aver iniziato”

Ci teniamo però a precisare una cosa, ovvero che questi meeting non sono di per se più importanti rispetto a chi come Carlo si è festeggiato l’OCCCADAY con un the e biscotti da solo in casa o come in Puglia che purtroppo, a causa del maltempo, ha visto cambiare location all’ultimo minuto ad una parte del gruppo che si era organizzato per ritrovarsi in un angolo di paradiso ad Alberobello (reso meno paradisiaco da un improvviso diluvio)
Quello che conta è aver iniziato.
OCCCADAY Marco - OCCCA.it10 mesi fa io, Marco Natali, ero da solo a scrivere e creare una pagina su facebook. Nemmeno un anno, e dal nulla che era prima del 10 giugno 2015, ad oggi, mi ritrovo a scrivere e raccontare un evento che mai avrei saputo immaginare.
Ci tengo a ripeterlo, un anno fa ero solo e sono arrivato qui.
Ora che non sono più solo, la domanda da porci forse è: DOVE VOGLIAMO ARRIVARE?
Certamente un obiettivo è il prossimo OCCCADAY, rigorosamente il primo lunedì dopo il primo maggio, che nel 2017 sarà l’8 maggio. O forse visto che l’1 maggio 2017 è proprio lunedì, lasciamo il 2 maggio come data?
Come vi dicevo, ora non sono più da solo, forse è il caso di cominciare a parlare insieme di questo. 😉

      Secondo te quanto sarebbe fattibile e soprattutto che scopo avrebbe? Considerando che uno sciopero si usa per colpire e sensibilizzare di solito la controparte che non ascolta.
      È il ristoratore il nostro problema?

  2. Beh Marco, un enorme grazie lo meriti per quello che sei riuscito a creare! Fin ora riuscivo a parlare di quello che capitava a lavoro solo con i colleghi e ci sentivamo un po dei mostri , visto che al di fuori nessuno capiva.. Invece ora mi sento meno sola! Il mio occcaday è stato in famiglia (d’altronde tutti lavoriamo nella ristorazione) approfittandone per stare per una volta tutti insieme! Ancora complimenti per la favolosa idea! Jessica
