Juvenoia è un termine inglese, coniato nel 2010 dal sociologo David Finkelhor, unendo i termini “juvenile” e “paranoia”.

Juvenoia è un neologismo che identifica una immotivata ed irrazionale paura nei confronti di ciò che influenza i giovani d’oggi.
George Orwell inquadrò splendidamente il problema con la seguente frase: “Ogni generazione vede se stessa come “più intelligente” della generazione precedente e “più saggia” della generazione che la segue”.
L’idea che le nuove generazioni siano un accozzaglia di beoti senzadio la cui maniera di vivere, idee e progetti siano in contrasto con la “legge naturale della tradizione” e che sia necessario difendere la tradizione contro questa orda di barbari, è ben radicata nell’intelletto umano (“Onora il padre e la madre” vi ricorda qualcosa?).

“Al giorno d’oggi, spariamo una moltitudine di messaggi brevi e rapidi anziché sederci e fare buona conversazione di fronte ad un vero giornale”.

L’ha scritto un Diego Fusaro qualsiasi nel 2019?

Lo scriveva il Sunday Times in un edizione del 1861, in un articolo al vetriolo in cui si scagliava contro la “deprecabile” moda dei bigliettini scambiati fra giovani coetanei.
La storia è piena di esempi (qui ne trovate alcuni) in cui una generazione si scaglia contro quella seguente, difendendo i valori della tradizione contro l’avanzata di un supposto modernismo senz’anima.

Perché parlare di Juvenoia in un blog dedicato alla cultura del servizio?
Perché in questo concetto si esprime la grande battaglia giorno dopo giorno si consuma in ogni cucina. In ogni sala ed in ogni bar.
Tradizione contro innovazione.
Lavoratori che si rifiutano di aggiornarsi perché “la tradizione è sacra” e ragazzini incapaci di riconoscere il valore dell’esperienza.
Indipendentemente dal fatto che siate “modernisti” o “tradizionalisti” la chiave consiste nel cercare di comprendere cos’è la tradizione.
La tradizione è Il complesso delle memorie, notizie e testimonianze trasmesse da una generazione all’altra. Punto.
Una volta identificato il soggetto del problema, ci risulta semplice intuire quanto “tradizione” sia un termine molto labile in quanto basta uno “scalino” generazionale per far si che ciò che era innovazione venga percepito come tradizione nel giro di una generazione o due.
E se la tradizione fosse tutta un invenzione?
Il concetto di invenzione della tradizione e quello conseguente della “tradizione inventata” sono stati introdotti per la prima volta nel 1983 in un libro curato da Terence Ranger e lo storico più influente del XX secolo, Eric Hobsbawm.
Nel saggio introduttivo del libro lo storico spiega come «…molte tradizioni che ci appaiano, o si pretendono, antiche hanno spesso un’origine piuttosto recente, e talvolta sono inventate di sana pianta»
Se non ne siete convinti basta guardare all’evoluzione della cultura del caffè in Italia.
La stragrande maggioranza degli italiani considera il caffè come un pinnacolo della cultura e tradizione gastronomica del belpaese.
Ma perché?
In Italia non si produce caffè e non se ne è mai prodotto (anche se qualcuno ultimamente sta compiendo esperimenti a riguardo).
l’Italia, oltre a non essere un produttore di caffè non è nemmeno il maggior esportatore di caffè tostato.
E no, non siamo nemmeno i maggiori consumatori di caffè pro capite.
In Italia si è iniziato a consumare caffè in modo edonistico verso la fine del 17 secolo, sotto forma di decotto così come in tutto il resto del mondo occidentale.
L’unico ruolo chiave dell’Italia nel mondo del caffè è stato quello di dare i natali ad un gruppo di ingegneri ed imprenditori che, dopo i primi tentativi nell’800 con splendidi ma approssimativi strumenti a vapore, a partire dagli inizi del ventesimo secolo hanno inventato quella che oggi conosciamo come la macchina per espresso.
Infatti la macchina espresso che ci regala la tanto amata crema in tazza è un brevetto del 1938, e solo nel 1948 appare la prima macchina a leva o pistone icona del caffè a Napoli.
Quindi, si sta sostenendo la superiorità di una “tradizione” giovane di circa 70 anni contro una cultura vecchia centinaia di anni le cui origini hanno radici nella terra natale dell’homo sapiens sapiens.

La verità è che una vera tradizione del caffè, in Italia, non esiste, al più esiste una preferenza di modalità̀ di consumo, l’espresso, il caffè italiano non esiste, o meglio, esiste solo in funzione di una narrazione spesso volta a far si che determinate dinamiche di consumo non si evolvano, al fine di mantenere lo status quo per chi il caffè lo acquista, sia esso un barista o il cliente finale.
Allora tutta la mia vita è un’astuta bugia (semi-cit.) e tutto quello che è “vecchio” è da gettare nell’immondizia?
Si e no. Il concetto di juvenoia non può e non deve nullificare il grande valore della tanto vituperata tradizione, ovvero l’esperienza.
Tutto ciò che deriva dall’esperienza di operatori istruiti e consapevoli è un lascito inestimabile per le generazioni future, le quali hanno, però, il compito di mettere costantemente in dubbio le teorie del passato alla luce degli avanzamenti tecnologici e del costante mutarsi delle modalità di consumo dettate da una clientela sempre più consapevole.
Quindi, la prossima volta che qualche tuo collega ti parla di tradizione, senza essere in grado di spiegarti per filo e per segno la scelta di determinati parametri, sentiti libero di mandarlo a quel paese.
Quale paese? Al paese di Juvenoia, ovviamente.

    5. Once you’ve worked the vinegar in, the next step is to then work in a palm-sized amount of Clean & clear Pink shampoo. Again, really work it in and focus on the roots of the hair and scalp.
    6. Don’t wash the shampoo will vinegar out. Instead, wrap your head tightly in clingfilm. This ensures that every strand of hair comes into contact with the mixture for a prolonged time. It will sting, but it’s important you tolerate it for as long as you can.
    7. Wait 30 minutes (or as close to it as possible if it stings too much) and then wash everything out with plenty of warm water.
    8. The next step is to use Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo. Use a small palm-sized amount and really work it into the hair and scalp as before. Leave it on for five minutes and then rinse thoroughly with clean water.

    11. This is the last step, which you only do once after the last time you run through the Macujo method. This will obviously be the time just before your drug test. If you do the last Macujo method run through the night before your test, do this step about one hour before you leave on the day of your test.
    You’re going to use ZyHeading 2dot Ultra clean to clean your hair thoroughly. Wash out plenty of warm water. Then, to avoid contaminants, make sure you use a fresh comb or brush, put on clean clothes, and leave to do your drug test immediately to really minimize the risk of stray toxins attaching to the hair.
    Success Stories Of Passing Hair Follicle Drug Tests
    If you do it right, you can have success with this method, and any full Macujo Method review should tell you about successes and failures.
    Failure will come if you don’t run it through enough times before your test. If you only have three days before your test, do it twice per day. That’s six times, and pretty close to 7.
    I wouldn’t advise you do this more than twice per day, because it could start to cause damage. Just focus on trying to get the time to run through it seven times in advance.
